Questions and Answers

All questions must be submitted in writing to technologybids@fz.k12.mo.us.  Questions through phone calls and messages to other accounts will not be accepted.

Q:  Can you share building maps with us electronically prior to the site reviews?

A:  Yes.  We will not be posting those documents on this site publicly due to a concern for oversharing the districts current security layout.  However, interested and qualified vendors can send a request to technologybids@fz.k12.mo.us and we'll send you a copy of the intended camera layout for each school.

Q:  For access control, do you require keypads on the readers or card/key fob only?

A:  FZSD would prefer RFID reader + Keypad to match our current access control systems.

Q:  Is a network cable currently run from the headend to each door?

A:  No, there is no existing cable.  Network line will need to be run from switch to doorway.

Q:  What is your expectation on access control in terms of setting up a remote management service or with licensing?

A:  Services must be manageable by IT Staff, Security Team, and District Administrators from their workstations, or mobile devices if that is an option.  Licensing is pointed out in Section 3.03 of the RFP:  "H. All software licenses and maintenance must be for a duration of at least five years."

Q:  What is your expectation for tying the new hardware in with the existing fire alarms?

A:  Current solutions have no tie into fire alarm systems, and thus we were not specifically looking for something.  Doors must be capable of opening from inside at anytime using existing crash bars.  If you have alternate options to present, please include detailed information within your response.

Q:  Is the prevailing wage of $61.76 assumed per hour, per person?

A:  Rates are based on the role your staff will be assuming, based on the sheet provided by the State of Missouri and in Appendix H1.  These rates are assumed per hour, per person.

Q:  Can you update the locations listed in your Appendix C.1 and C.2 documents?

A:  Yes, please find updated Appendix C documents here, showing the correct locations for deployment of cameras.

Appendix C.1 - Modified 2.29.24

Appendix C.2 - Modified 2.29.24
